Jamie Foxx Intuition

The 2009 Jamie Foxx Intuition Tour will promote his latest smash album by the same name. The album has seen some of its singles dominate the pop charts. So if the Intuition Tour can match the intensity of the album, you know that fans that buy Intuition Tour tickets are going to be in for quite a show. Jamie Foxx’s Intuition features some of the biggest names in hip hop as collaborators, but they all wont be able to join him on the road. But who knows, nobody is going to be surprised if a few Intuition stops features some guests appearances.

Foxx’s Intuition Album reached #3 on the Billboard 200 and stayed at #1 on the R&B/Hip Hop Album Charts for six weeks in a row. Intuition has at its theme the differences in wants and needs between men and women. “On my radio show I have this panel of beautiful women and they were talking about how men with a lot of money aren’t all that. But if a guy has no money, that’s no good either . . So I was thinking, ‘What does a woman want? We go from there and build the story and the songs” Foxx told BET. Intuition has sold nearly one million albums and is certified platinum by the RIAA. Guests on the Intuition album include Lil Wayne, Kanye West, T-Pain, T.I., Fabolous, Marsha Ambrosius, Timbaland and The Dream. The Intuition Tour will feature plenty of songs from the album, so with that in mind we’d like to go over some of the best Intuition songs.

In February of 2009, Jaime Foxx had three hits off Intuition, “Blame It,” “She Got Her Own,” and “Just Like Me,” on Billboard’s “Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs” at #1 #2 and #8. Just Like Me was the first single released on Intuition. It hit the airwaves on November 11 2008 and debuted at #48 before peaking at #8. It was produced by The Dream, who worked on Rihanna’s Umbrella, and features T.I. “I Don’t Need It” echoes the south and Al Green. The club-tastic “Number One” was produced by Just Blaze and features Lil Wayne, and “Digital Girl,” produced by The Dream has the man Kanye West. “She Got Her Own” is a remix of Ne-Yo’s Miss Independent. “Blame It” has a guest appearance by T-Pain “is a decent, danceable club jam with garage and electro vibes, which give way at the end to a delicate, piano outro” said Music OMH. “I Don’t Need It” features Timbaland. Foxx’s “I Don’t Know” is a slow tribute to Marvin Gaye’s “I Want You” and has an easy sound complimented by kick drums and some heavy breathing

While there is no doubt that hip hop fans like the album, not all the critics liked everything Jaime Foxx had to say. Here are some of the bigger Intuition reviews. Here are the Intuition Album reviews:
